Static load is not racking load
The single most common specification mistake we see on plastic pallets, and the number you should be asking for instead.
A pallet sitting on a concrete floor is supported along its whole underside. The same pallet on beam racking is supported only at two edges, and everything in the middle is a bending load.
That is why a pallet rated at 6,000 kg static can be rated at 1,000 kg racked. Both numbers are honest; they describe different situations.
What to ask for
If the pallet will ever go on beams, ask for the racking load and specify steel reinforcement. If it will only ever sit on a floor or in a block stack, the static figure is the one that matters and you can save the money.
