The regrind line, and why we brought it in-house
Sending offcuts to a third-party recycler meant losing sight of the material. Bringing reprocessing onto the moulding floor changed what we can promise about recycled content.

The problem with sending it away
Every injection moulding operation produces offcuts, sprues and rejected parts. For most of the industry those go into a skip and out to a third-party recycler, and that is the last anybody sees of them.
It is not a waste problem so much as an information problem. Once the material leaves the site you can no longer say what polymer went into it, what temperature history it has, or which shift produced it — and all three decide how much of it you can safely put back into a structural part.
What changed
Bringing shredding and reprocessing onto the moulding floor means the material never loses its provenance. Regrind is batched against the run that produced it, tested for melt flow index, and blended back in at a ratio the part can actually carry.
The practical result is that when we tell a customer a crate has 60% recycled content, we can show them where it came from.
